Prerequisites: Presentation of a project acceptable to the instructor and the division chairperson; JAPAN 4 with a grade of "B" or better.

This course is design to allow students to do advanced work in the language.  The course includes research, directed reading, field work, or other advanced study.  This course may be repeated for a maximum of four units.
