ASSOCIATE DEGREE
An Associate Degree is the first college degree a student can earn. Completion recognizes the student's satisfactory completion of an organized program of at least 60 semester units including the major and general education requirements. To earn an AA or AS degree, students must complete 60 semester units with a grade-point average of 2.0 or better and meet the graduation requirements, which are found in the college catalog. It generally takes two years to complete an associate degree attending full-time (15 units per semester). My students attend school on a part-time basis, taking longer than two years to complete their degree. The college catalog provides a complete listing of associate degree programs offered at San Joaquin Delta College and the courses required to completed each program.
